Creed Fisher Birmingham Concert reviews
Bands were awesome. Venue? Not so much.
Creed Fisher I love, and was a no-brainer decision to see them live again, as I have before. The Fray I'd not seen before. Their performance changed all that as I wasn't a big fan, feeling a lot of their songs sounded very similar. I really enjoyed their stage presence and was exposed to some of their music that I'd not previously heard. I'm listening to them differently now.
As an opener, I would have gone to see Matt Nathanson headline his own show. He definitely didn't disappoint. Incredibly talented yet equally as humble, he's my kind of artist. I really enjoyed hearing him perform many of his songs that I've come to love over the past few years. I'd definitely like to see him again.
My least favorite outdoor concert venue is Aaron's. It's too far from the north side, and early shows make it impossible to get a nice meal beforehand due to traffic getting to the location.
For the first round of drinks, I was informed that they had no red wine. For the second round, they were out of all wine entirely! Additionally, the food choices are abysmal at Aaron's. Once again, Aaron's disappointed by being out of the only healthy option, a Portabello Mushroom burger, and this was early in the evening!
Lastly, once you get your food, there's preciously little seating and what there is was pretty dirty.
Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharettta is where I can only hope that more acts move.
